The Pathmatics Explorer Publisher Comparison page allows users to compare Sales Channel data and Top Advertisers data for up to twenty publishers at once.
You can view up to ten publishers at once within the platform and up to twenty publishers via the
feature.If you are interested in comparing data for more than 20 publishers at once, please contact support@pathmatics.com for assistance.
Save or load a Publisher Comparison
You can save your Publisher Comparisons to return to at any time. To save, enter the publishers you wish to compare and select
.Enter a name that will allow you to identify this comparison later and click
.To load a saved publisher comparison click
and select from the dropdown of previously saved comparisons.Data within your saved comparisons will reflect your current device type, date range, and region filter settings, not the filter settings at the time it was saved. To learn more about your filter settings, see Setting Your Filters.
Publisher Comparisons may be shared with other Pathmatics users on your team. To share a publisher comparison, simply copy and share the URL.
To delete a saved Publisher Comparison, select delete icon to the right of your comparison's name.
and click theTop Sales Channels
The Top Sales Channel table details spend and impression share for the top parties the compared publishers sold ad inventory to.
Click the name of any ad tech partner listed in the Sales Channel column to be redirected to the partner’s Explorer page.
In the Spend Share tab, sales channels are ranked in order of highest advertiser spend. Percentage of the combined publishers’ advertiser spend share is listed in the Share column.
A donut chart to the right of the table provides a visual representation of spend share by channel. Hover your mouse over each portion of the graph to highlight the sales channel type.
In the Impressions Share tab, sales channels are ranked in order of highest impressions sold. Percentage of the combined publishers’ impression share is listed in the Share column.
A donut chart to the right of the table provides a visual representation of impression share by channel. Hover your mouse over each portion of the graph to highlight the purchase channel type.
House ad data will not appear within the Spend Share tab, as house ads are not purchased by spend. House ad impression data is viewable within the Impressions Share tab.
Top Advertisers running creatives
The Top Advertisers running creatives on [publisher] table allows you to view the top 500 advertisers for a selected publisher, and whether or not these advertisers are also running on each additional publisher within your comparison.
Top advertisers are ranked in order of highest advertiser spend and impressions.
- To view the top 500 direct advertisers running creatives on the selected publisher, click the Direct Advertisers tab on the table.
- To view the top 500 indirect advertisers running creatives on the selected publisher, click the Indirect Advertisers tab on the table.
- To view both direct and indirect advertisers, select the All Advertisers tab on the table.
Select the publisher name dropdown to the right of the table’s header to choose the publisher whose top 500 advertisers you'd like to view.
A colored circle under each site column indicates that the advertiser is running creatives on this publisher.
In the example below, Warby Parker is running ads on cnn.com but is not running ads on foxnews.com. However, Fox Sports is running ads on both cnn.com and foxnews.com
To view spend and impression share for an advertiser across your compared publishers, click the Show Details icon to the right of the advertiser name in the Advertiser column.
A bar graph will appear to the right of the table detailing spend and percentage of Spend Share for the advertiser on each publisher. Click the Impression Share tab on the bar graph to view impressions and percentage of impression share for the advertiser on each publisher.
To search for a specific advertiser, enter the advertiser's name in the Search bar located at the top right of the table.
Top Advertisers not running creatives
The Top Advertisers not running creatives on [publisher] table functions much like the table detailed above.
This table lists the top 500 advertisers your selected publisher is not running creatives on and indicates whether these advertisers are running on any other publishers being compared.
